I’m a radio broadcaster, podcaster and the Station Manager at Cam FM. Check out the links to my podcasts below.

I love audio as a medium for science communication – it provides a direct and personal connection with the listener, and without visual details it’s essential to bring the concepts alive with exciting stories and great soundscapes. I host and produce two science podcasts (which also go out on Cam FM as radio shows), Us and STEMM and Lockdown Science. I am also Station Manager at Cam FM, so I am in charge of the day-to-day running of the station and have responsibility for its longer term strategic direction. My passion for radio and my managerial role at Cam FM have led me to be involved in radio more widely, so whilst science is my specialism, I have also produced politics, sport and music radio programmes.

Us and STEMM

Each week I interview a new guest scientist to dissect their work, investigate their life in science and examine what makes them tick. I aim to break down barriers to science by speaking to a diverse range of scientists in an accessible, non-technical way. We discuss their life inside and outside science, how they got where they are, and what advice they would give to others thinking of following the same path. The interviews are relaxed and conversational, and I finish each show with some light-hearted quick-fire questions. Previous guests have included Dr Adam Rutherford, Professor Chris Jackson, Dr Helen Scales and Sophie Pavelle.
